The following packages are exclusively available to registered Fringe Festival productions
during the official Fringe Festival performance window.

Fringe Festival Event Rental (Partner Rate)

This is the only rental option offered to Fringe Festival productions at The Activist Kitchen.

What’s Included (All Fringe Packages)

  • Event space rental
  • One (1) on-site technician
  • One (1) house manager
  • One (1) door person
  • Standard sound and lighting support appropriate for Fringe performances

Capacity:

  • Up to 50 people maximum, subject to room configuration and safety requirements

Fringe Festival Hours

  • Open until 2:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays during Fringe (including previews)
  • No after-midnight rate doubling applies during Fringe Festival hours

Fringe Performance Packages

All Fringe bookings are offered as multi-show packages.

Each package includes:

  • One (1) preview performance
  • One (1) guaranteed weekend night slot (Friday or Saturday)
  • Remaining performances scheduled based on availability

Three-Show Package

$200 per hour / per performance

Includes:

  • One preview performance
  • Two regular performances
  • One guaranteed weekend night slot

Five-Show Package

$195 per hour / per performance

Includes:

  • One preview performance
  • Four regular performances
  • One guaranteed weekend night slot

Seven-Show Package

$190 per hour / per performance

Includes:

  • One preview performance
  • Six regular performances
  • One guaranteed weekend night slot

Custom Fringe Packages

Custom packages may be created for:

  • Extended runs
  • Additional performances
  • Unique scheduling or technical needs

Custom packages are subject to availability and approval.

Eligibility & Fringe Registration Requirement

To qualify for Fringe Festival pricing, productions must:

Important: Booking a venue at The Activist Kitchen does not register a
production with the Fringe Festival.

All Fringe artists are solely responsible for:

  • Fringe Festival registration and fees
  • Inclusion in the official Fringe schedule
  • Fringe ticketing, marketing, and reporting requirements

Load-In & Strike Policy (Fringe Festival)

  • Standard Fringe performances include up to fifteen (15) minutes for load-in and fifteen (15) minutes for strike
  • Load-in and strike are expected to occur within the booked performance window
  • Productions requiring additional load-in or strike time must plan in advance and book the additional time with the venue
  • Unscheduled overages may be billed at the applicable Fringe hourly rate and are subject to venue availability

Booking & Payment Terms

  • Minimum booking: One (1) hour per performance
  • Billing increments: 30-minute increments after the first hour
  • Deposit: One (1) hour, non-refundable deposit required to secure the package
  • Cancellations:
    • More than 72 hours’ notice: deposit forfeited only
    • Within 72 hours: may be billed up to the full contracted package amount

Additional Terms

  • Fringe rates apply only during the Fringe Festival period, including previews
  • Staffing and technical scope are fixed for Fringe programming consistency
  • Load-in, performance, and strike time must be included in booked hours
  • Final scheduling is determined by The Activist Kitchen in coordination with Fringe programming needs
